The Decline of “Coolcations” While many travelers chose cold-weather destinations in 2024, such as Switzerland, Iceland, and Antarctica, this year has seen a notable decline in interest. Some of these destinations are down by over 60% compared to last year.
Warm Weather and Bucket List Adventures Take Center Stage In 2025, 40% of travelers are aiming to cross off bucket-list destinations, with many choosing to do so during spring break. While Mexico and the Bahamas remain top choices for warm weather, countries like Japan and Italy are seeing an 8% and 6% increase in popularity, respectively.
